To inspire is the ability of those who have the capability to dream courageously, to persevere consistently and most importantly to live remarkably. Many souls have inhabited this planet yet very few live beyond their time with stories to tell. I have been influenced by many people that I see in all walks of life. As a student of business management, I would say that women entrepreneurs have truly inspired me and Indra Nooyi would be one among them. She had the courage to dream beyond the four walls she was expected to be in and carve an excellent career and fame for herself. She broke down various stereotypical conventions and myths and went on to become the CEO of PepsiCo.

She has inspired me time and again and has truly proved that women should not shy away from occupying top positions in corporates or be hesitant to take up major responsibilities. The business tycoon accords her success to her early stages of rebelliousness and her determination to break the shackles of the society. Born into a conservative family, she left no stones unturned to pursue a good education and earn a reputable fame for her. She has truly lived up to the famous proverb “Where there is a will, there is a way”. She is an exemplary role model for young minds like myself to choose unforeseen paths, take risks and persevere relentlessly. As an entrepreneur, she teaches us to be considerate of our fellow beings and to cater to the health requirements of the consumers as she plays a major role in changing the outlook of the company and provide more healthier food and snacks. Pepsi has flourished under her guidance and has managed to provide a diversified portfolio of products that are safer to consume.

I have always looked up to this personality as a proud Indian showing her fellow countrymen that there is nothing a women cannot achieve. I have adopted her other traits like the attitude of being a student life long and to learn and change for the better as the fast-paced world requires us to be prepared for changes. Her fearless attitude and striking demeanour has always motivated me to push my boundaries and set new limits for myself. Her passion towards her job and her enthusiasm to work harder day by day for her company’s success has struck me and has taught me the importance of developing a passion and commitment to every responsibility that I undertake. I have learnt the importance of setting realistic goals and to correctly balance out between, study life and personal life. I have also gained an understanding of the importance of time management and patience as key to success.

I believe that a perfect combination of faith and perseverance can help us go a long way in life. I consider myself fortunate to be surrounded and aware about the numerous people who have left back countless life lessons to learn.
