<p style="margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm; text-align:justify"><span style="color:null"><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif">Shalique M.S submitted his PhD thesis on the topic &ldquo;Decision Reversal and Symbolic Practices in Sustainable Supply Chains: The Case of Sustainable Food Supply Chains&rdquo;, Department of Quantitative Methods and Operations Management, Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. He has recently published in the International Journal of Production Research (ABDC Ranking A) and has papers under review in various other journals of repute. His research focuses on the application of contemporary advances in behavioral economics in supply chain management. He investigates how behavioral experiments can be used to understand sustainability adoption by various stakeholders in supply chains. He is also involved in various interdisciplinary research projects involving role of nudges in policy enforcements. Previously he worked as Operations Officer in Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, a Fortune 500 Company where he handled projects worth 200 million USD annually. </span></span></span></p>

  • Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2007 to 2011)
     

Work Experience (Research /Teaching)

Operations Officer, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Manmad Terminal, Maharashtra (2011-2015)

  • Oversaw the implementation of terminal automation system (TAS) ensuring safe, reliable, and faster delivery of petroleum products
  • Achieved loss reduction during product transit through pipeline transfers using insights from data analytics leading to a reduction in the operational loss by 2% that amounts to an annual savings of INR 1.2 billion (1 INR = 0.013 USD)
  • Achieved reduction in a cycle time of truck loading operations by identifying constraints that hamper smooth operation and hence reducing the overall lead time
